Drama St. Peter’s PlayersSt Peter's Players

St Peter’s Players is a long-established amateur drama group based at the Cross-Keys Community Hall. Although our links to St Peter’s Church are strong, we welcome anyone with an interest in any of the aspects of presenting plays, whether they are members of the church or not. We like to think we are an open, friendly and supportive group. The “Friends of St Peter’s Players” are people who have often supported us for some years, and who pay an annual subscription to get advance notice of our activities, and reduced ticket prices. We normally aim to present two plays each year, around April/May and October/November. We also usually stage some entertainment for the members of the “Friends of St Peter’s Players” at the wine and cheese party which we throw for them in the Summer. In the Winter, some of our members are active in the Pantomime Society, and also some are involved in the Youth Theatre Group. Next Production at the end of November will be ”The White Cliffs” by Bettine Manktelow.

Pantomime Society

The society was formed in 2000 with a vision to provide an opportunity for both adults and children from the local community, to perform in a pantomime. The scripts are written by the members themselves. The society’s aim is to provide entertainment at a reasonable cost for families. There are four performances attracting approximately 120 each house. It is non-profit making, proceeds covering productions costs and rehearsal room hire and any excess being donated to worthy charities.
